Some Hefty Humor
Trash bags aren’t exactly a glamorous sell. However, that is no reason to shy away from humor and a celebrity spokesperson. Following in the tradition of most commercials these days to prove “this is how much better your life will be if you use this product”- Hefty implements the use of John Cena and some jokes to prove their point. He flexes his pecs and the familiar “hefty! hefty! hefty!” chant rolls anytime the brand is chosen in the store. The spots are fun and playful – which, if nothing else is a fun change for a trash bag commercial – to be saved from the traditional messy and “look how strong this bag is” fare.
