What We Really Enjoy About the World Cup
May,28 2014
We look forward to the World Cup this summer, but what we really enjoy seeing is all the launch spots, commercials, and ads as leading up to the event. One of the most recent ads from Nike features a plethora of high profile soccer players, in addition to some other notable celebs, and a strong dose of cool effects and good humor. We call it a success! http://www.adweek.com/news/advertising-branding/ad-day-nike-reaches-high-and-low-perfectly-gleeful-4-minute-world-cup-spot-157275.
The Less Famous Bacon
May,21 2014
You don’t always have to be a celebrity to endorse a product. Sometimes you simply need to be related to a celebrity. In this new Oscar Mayer commercial, Kevin Bacon’s brother (The “less famous Bacon”) promotes another, less famous bacon: turkey bacon. Basketball isn’t one of my favorite sports to watch either (I like it better than golf, but not as much as football, if you want a continuum of my sports preferences) but recently I watched an OKC Thunder game with some friends and kind of got in to it. The…
New Technology Captures Distracted TV Viewers by Syncing Ads to Phones
May,07 2014
During TV commercial breaks for your favorite show – do you check your cell phone? If so, you are not alone. TV viewers are becoming increasingly distracted during commercial breaks and creating a ritual of checking their phones instead. This is frustrating for advertisers who already face increasing distractions as consumers now have hundreds of programming options to choose from: DVR, smart phones, and numerous other distractions. Our agency is always watching for new technology and solutions to cut through the clutter and engage the client’s message/offering to make a meaningful connection with the target customer. A new company, Xaxis, is trying to…
