Christmas season is in full swing, and along with it the regular host of marketing pushes and tearjerkers to inspire consumers to buy. The holiday season frequently sees commercials and ads that play much like a cologne or perfume advert - mini movies, often featuring celebrity spokespeople. H&M employs the indie-favorite Wes Anderson and Anderson regular, Adrien Brody. Snapchat's latest venture in engagement is coming through "Bot Landings" - vending type machines that drop into town for a day and leave the next. These "Snapbots" do in fact sell something - Spectacles, which is more or less a bright, hip version of Google Glasses that allows the wearer to record "memories" and then be synced with a Snapchat device.
